LEDs let you trim the tree efficiently

If your holiday chores include unraveling the same old tangle of decorative lights, maybe you should consider and upgrade to more reliable, efficient and longer-lasting LEDs.
LEDs, or light-emitting diodes, often use less than 4 percent of the electricity of a traditional incandescent bulb to produce the same amount of light. In fact, the amount of electricity consumed by a single seven-watt incandescent decorative light bulb could power 140 LEDs – that’s two full 24-foot strings. However, the benefits of LED holiday lights go beyond energy savings.
LEDs are cool to the touch and can withstand extreme temperature changes and power surges. They also last 10 times longer than traditional lights. And since there are no moving parts they won’t quit working due to shaking and rattling.
Products that earn the ENERGY STAR label have met energy efficiency requirements established by the Environmental Protection Agency. ENERGY STAR qualified products contribute significant energy savings while delivering the features and performance consumers demand.
