Finding ways to save energy or keep track of how you use it can be difficult. However, Wright-Hennepin (WH) offers a free program to our members called MyMeter. This program helps members by allowing them to view their hourly, daily and monthly energy usage. They can also sign up to receive an email or text notification regarding unusual energy use.

You can set a high usage notification, which may indicate that power is being used although everything was turned off. You can also set an alert if your usage goes below a certain threshold, which could mean that something in your home isn’t working. Please note that it will not alert you if your power goes out. Learn how to set up these notifications with this video.

With MyMeter, you can track and compare your daily or monthly usage data, and if you have a new AMI meter, you can even view your hourly usage! You can compare this usage against weather and temperature data, as well as your own usage from previous years. Learn how to view and compare data with this video.

If you’re looking to track your energy, you can set markers in MyMeter. These energy use markers help set tracking points in your usage data, so you can observe any changes during a time period. For example, if you know you have visitors coming, you can set a marker with the dates and a note. Then you can observe the changes in energy use between those markers. Learn how to set up and use markers with this video.

Get started with your free MyMeter account today and explore your energy use possibilities! Visit MyMeter.org to sign up. Check out this video for help on setting up your account.
