Wright-Hennepin's 2024 Annual Meeting

Below is a brief recap of the 2024 Annual Meeting.


Wright-Hennepin (WH) outlined plans for Delivering Through the Energy Transition and marked 87 years of the cooperative difference at the 2024 Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 18 from 7-8 p.m.

1,765 meals were served and 819 registered members attended. Members who stayed through the end of the business meeting received a pound of butter.

The Annual Meeting included:

  • Director elections for Districts 1, 3, and 9
  • Financial report
  • WH and WH Holding leadership reports

The event was livestreamed for members to watch remotely, and those viewing the livestream could enter to win one of two $50 bill credits. The winners are:

  • DuWayne Goerke, Maple Lake
  • Sam and Kristin Hansen, Otsego

Members who visited informational booths around the event were also able to enter to win gift card prizes. This year's winners included:

  • Joanna Bakeberg, Waverly
  • Mike Grimm, Maple Grove
  • Rob Workman, Howard Lake
  • Vicky Scherr, Clearwater
  • Sylvia Walsh, Rockford
  • Evan & Nicole Kangas, Rockford
  • Steve Johnson, Buffalo
  • Roger Upcraft, Maple Lake

There was also an early-bird drawing for those that voted for their district's Director early. The winner of the iPad was Melvin Rozenberg of Maple Lake.

95 children checked in to the children's activity room, available to attendees ages 4-10. Four children took home a new bike. This year's winners were:

  • Alexandra, age 5, Monticello
  • Beckham, age 5, Maple Grove
  • Ethan, age 11, Maple Grove
  • Pierce, age 2, Corcoran

The winner of the 2012 Ford F-150 4x4 was Kristine Fix, Buffalo.

Director Elections

The Board seats for Districts 1, 3, and 9 were up for election. Read more about the candidates in the 2024 Annual Report.

Over 1,600 votes were cast. The election winners are:

  • District 1 - Timothy Young of Annandale
  • District 3 - Pat Bakeberg of Waverly
  • District 9 - Erick Heinz of Corcoran
